David D. Perlmutter (Professor, School of Journalism & Mass Communications), Ming-Heng Wang, Ph.D. (post-doc, KU Transportation Research Institute) and Steven D. Schrock (Assistant professor, Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering) produced a report on "Top Transportation and Energy Issues Facing the Nation" which was released by the KU Transportation Research Institute (KU TRI) at a press conference in Washington, DC., in association with a meeting by the National Transportation Research Board. The report details findings and observations made at a meeting in September at the Dole Institute of Politics of leading experts on transportation from industry, government and the academy. The meeting and the report were funded through KU TRI by the U.S. Department of Transportation Research.
