How did a medium, venue, vehicle, style, apparatus, and portal for personalized mass communication called "weblog" rise from obscurity and fringe status in the late 90's to power, influence, prominence and popularity today? On May 8, 2008 I appeared on THE DAILY SHOW and was interviewed by Jon Stewart about my book, BLOGWARS: THE NEW POLITICAL BATTLEGROUND.
Was I nervous?—yes! But Mr. Stewart's comments and questions showed how much political blogging has "arrived" and been accepted in politics, journalism and our culture.
